SUMMARY:FB County DA Bike Ride Presented By Expose Excellence Youth Foundation
DESCRIPTION:Once again\, it’s that time of year to ‘get in gear’ for the 3rd Annual Fort Bend County District Attorney’s “Bike Ride for Survivors\,” scheduled for Saturday\, October 7th\, at Brazos River Park in Sugar Land. The event features 20\, 40\, and 55-mile routes protected by law enforcement to ensure a smooth continuous ride from start to finish with zero traffic stops. The event also features a 1K Color Run for Youth plus a Law Enforcement Fitness Challenge. Proceeds from the event benefit survivors of violent crimes and youth in Fort Bend County through the Fort Bend County Expose Excellence Youth Foundation. \nWe’re Looking Forward to Riding With You!\nPost ride event to celebrate a safer Fort Bend County. \nDue to popular demand\, we will have pickle juice available this year. \nTwo sag vehicles the day of the ride to help those in need. \nWe have adjusted the two longer routes to have less travel on FM 521.  There will be Hydration Stations with snacks and port-a-potties at Brazos River Park\, Baines Middle School\, and at the turnaround points for the 47 and 60 mile rides. \nPatrol units at major intersections to keep everyone safe. \nDirectional signage along the ride to make sure everybody stays on the right path in addition to having the routes in Strava. \nWe have requested that our friends at TxDOT sweep FM 521 and other roadways for the ride. \nFBC EMS will have a presence at the ride\, but we hope they have a very quiet morning. \nThere will be a repair station at the start/finish line in addition to the hydration stations on the course. \nTo learn more click here: https://fbcdabikeride.com/  \nTo register for the bike ride\, click here: https://www.bikereg.com/third-annual-fort-bend-da-bike-ride-for-survivors
